You are now faced with what to do with a loved one who can no longer take care of themselves or that you are no longer able to take care of. Decisions affecting the happiness and well-being of a loved one are particularly difficult. You may already be considering decisions on assisted living facilities, nursing homes or private adult care homes.

Making a good decision where a senior loved one should live is important and can be difficult. Our advice to you is to not wait till there is a crisis to gather information on facilities in your area. Start considering area choices. Compare the strenghth and weaknesses of various places. It is important to be as open and honest as possible about what is really needed or wanted versus things that are open to compromise. Take genuine stock of what is most important in your loved one's life and make sure this can be maintained, if at all possible.

You owe it to yourself and to your loved one to take the time and investigate this wonderful alternative to a nursing home. Let us help you with this difficult decision you are faced with.
